The “Inclusion Innovators” fellowship from Dornsife’s IDEA fellowship aims to promote inclusivity and diversity in the community by empowering students to take action. The Inclusion Innovators work towards making students in the community feel more included and welcome by creating initiatives that celebrate different cultures and promote cross-cultural understanding.As part of their efforts, the fellow recently created flyers about the various cultural holidays and provided information about their significance to help students in the community learn and appreciate different cultures. Such initiatives foster a sense of belonging and promote a more inclusive and accepting community.

DSPH End of Year Celebration

DSPH’s Office of Education is hosting an end-of-year celebration to recognize the Dornsife community on Wednesday, May 29, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. 

Please join us for light refreshments. Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to stop in for a bit or stay for the whole event. A few games will be provided, but please bring any games or puzzles you’d like to share with the community!

Population Health Spotlight Speaker Series – Dr. Asa Radix

On May 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (ET), network, chat, and snack with Dr. Asa Radix, our Population Health Spotlight Series speaker. The talk is at 2:00PM.

Asa Radix, MD, PhD, MPH, is the Senior Director of Research and Education at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Radix is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious disease, holds a PhD in epidemiology from Columbia University, and has over two decades of clinical experience working with transgender and gender diverse individuals.

Radix has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and have contributed to national and international guidelines in transgender health care, including as co-chair of the World Professional Association of Transgender (WPATH) Standards of Care. Their research predominately focuses on HIV prevention, and healthcare access and outcomes for trans and gender diverse people, as well as identifying health disparities and institutional practices that create inequities for LGBTQ+ communities. They serve on several committees, including the DHHS Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents. In 2022, Radix was awarded The WPATH Gold Medal for their significant contributions to global trans health.
